PLEASE FUND the Legal and Engineering Study Fees I am fronting to get Lennar to redesign and redevelop the Sierra Ranches Preserve area in Davie, Florida, United States.

If I collect surplus funds beyond what is needed to cover the legal fees and engineering expert fees, I will donate those surplus funds among four organizations- two environmental and two special districts. The beneficiaries of these surplus funds will be Nature Conservancy, Sierra Club, Central Broward Water Control District and South Florida Water Management District.

About deliver-the-preserve-we-deserve

Our Mission

Get the developer, Lennar Corporation, to redesign the Sierra Ranches Preserve to code, plans, best engineering practices and compensate any environmental mitigation required at the offsite bank. This will reduce the burdens imposed on Sierra Ranches residents who are supposed to own and maintain the preserve in perpetuity.

Water channels around residential lots and in the preserve must be substantially intact through perpetuity, but the channels around residential lots have experienced catastrophic failure

Spatterdocks dominating the open water buffer and the planted marsh beyond the 34 foot water buffer in front of Lots 26 and 27. Spatterdocks are native flow attenuating nuisance species that should not exist in a flowage channel and should be eliminated by early intervention.

Open water channels in aerial images in 2022 appear to be much narrower in several places compared to the plans or as-built surveys provided by the developer that are over two years old (e.g. 19 feet vs 34 feet).
